Every meaningful journey begins with a simple idea. The story of Ummeed Foundation began with a shared belief that every individual deserves hope, every child deserves an opportunity, and every community deserves the chance to thrive.
THE BEGINNING
A Small Beginning
with a Big Dream
Established on 22 November 2019, Ummeed Foundation was founded with a vision to address the everyday challenges faced by underprivileged communities. We recognised that many people lacked access to quality education, healthcare, opportunities for women and youth, environmental awareness, and community support. Rather than waiting for change, we chose to become a part of it.
From the very beginning, our focus has been on grassroots development—working closely with local communities, understanding their needs, and creating practical solutions that empower people rather than making them dependent. We believe that sustainable development is achieved when communities actively participate in shaping their own future.
What started as a small initiative driven by a handful of passionate individuals has today grown into a registered charitable trust committed to creating sustainable social impact across Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring regions.

From Small Steps
to Lasting Impact
Our journey began with small community initiatives such as awareness campaigns, educational support, environmental activities, and volunteer-led social programmes. As public trust grew, so did our responsibilities. Over the years, Ummeed Foundation expanded its work into multiple sectors including education, healthcare, environmental conservation, women empowerment, child development, rural development, animal welfare, arts & culture, and youth engagement.
Every project we undertake is inspired by one simple principle: "Real change happens when people come together with compassion, purpose, and determination."
Whether it is organizing health camps, conducting cleanliness drives, planting trees, supporting vulnerable families, promoting education, or empowering women through self-defence, every initiative reflects our commitment to building stronger and more resilient communities.
OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
2019
Foundation established on 22 November 2019 with a vision to serve society selflessly and bring hope to communities in need.
2020
Started educational awareness programs and supported children from underprivileged backgrounds with learning resources.
2021
Launched environmental initiatives including tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns and waste management programs.
2022
Organized health camps, blood donation drives and launched women empowerment programs including self-defence training.
2023
Started Panthers Club Nahan and expanded animal welfare activities for building a kinder and more compassionate community.
2024 & Beyond
Expanded self-defence training for girls and continues working for sustainable community development across multiple sectors.

Panthers Club Nahan
One of the defining chapters of our journey has been our investment in children and young people. We believe that today's youth are tomorrow's leaders, and empowering them is essential for creating lasting social change. With this vision, we established Panthers Club Nahan, a unique children's social welfare initiative operating under Ummeed Foundation. The Club encourages children to become responsible citizens through community service, environmental conservation, cleanliness drives, animal welfare, cultural activities, and leadership development. Guided by the motto "Young Hearts • Green Planet • Kinder World," Panthers Club has become a platform where children learn values such as teamwork, compassion, discipline, and civic responsibility while actively contributing to society.

Recognising the importance of women's safety and empowerment, Ummeed Foundation launched its Self Defence Academy, one of our flagship initiatives. For more than four years, we have been conducting continuous, free self-defence training for children, especially girls, equipping them with practical skills, confidence, discipline, and the courage to protect themselves. Beyond martial arts techniques, the programme focuses on building self-esteem, awareness, resilience, and leadership—helping young girls grow into confident and independent individuals. This initiative reflects our belief that empowerment is not just about providing opportunities; it is about building confidence to seize them.
